הדין אותו ואת בנו שאסור לשחוט באותו יום- דעות שונות בטעמי המצווה (רמב”ם/רמב”ן/ספר החינוך). המשנה מביאה כל מיני וריאציות אפשרויות בין חולין ומוקדשים שנשחטו בחוץ ובפנים – האם ואיזה עונש יקבלו השוחטים ומה הסטטוס של הבשר בכל מקרה. הגמרא מביאה ברייתא שדנה במקור לכך שההלכה נוהגת גם בחוליןן וגם במוקדשים ודורשת שגם רלוונטי בבהמת כלאים. הגמרא מקשה על הדרשה בקשר לכלאים.
The law forbidding slaughtering an animal and its offspring on the same day is discussed. What are the different approaches regarding the reasons behind the mitzva (Rambam, Ramban and Sefer HaChinuch). The mishna brings various permutations regarding chulin and sacrifices, slaughtered inside the mikdash or outside and discusses what punishments one would receive and what would be the status of the meat. The gemara brings a braita that brings the sources why it’s relevant for chulin and sacrifices and also relevant for crossbred animals. The gemara challenges the drasha regarding the crossbreeds.
