Are bodily signs of pregnancy taken into consideration? When is a woman considered &#8220;nursing&#8221; who is assumed not to have a regular period? Does it depend on whether or not she is nursing or is it up to 24 months after childbirth, regardless of whether one is nursing? When is a woman considered &#8220;old&#8221;? The gemara brings various subjective definitions, relating to how they are perceived in the eyes of others. What happens to an older woman who stops and then starts bleeding again somewhat regularly? What about a young girl who starts bleeding &#8211; at what point is she considered to have a regular cycle and her pure items are retroactively deemed impure? Who does the law differ for a young girl who is of the age where girls generally start menstruating from a girl who is not of the age?
