{"id":3802,"date":"2016-12-06T09:14:28","date_gmt":"2016-12-06T07:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dafyomi4women.org\/daf\/?p=3802"},"modified":"2016-12-06T09:14:28","modified_gmt":"2016-12-06T07:14:28","slug":"bava-metzia-71","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dafyomi4women.org\/daf\/2016\/12\/bava-metzia-71\/","title":{"rendered":"Bava Metzia 71"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Can one take interest from\u00a0non Jews? \u00a0Under what circumstances? \u00a0A pasuk is brought to show that one who takes interest will lose his money. \u00a0The gemara then questions that against reality where we see <em>righteous<\/em> people who lose their money also. \u00a0Rebbi raises 2 problems where the Torah says one thing about a <em>ger <\/em>\u00a0and the halacha doesn&#8217;t match that. \u00a0One about a hebrew slave and one about taking interest. \u00a0They are both resolved. \u00a0The gemara then proceeds to describe cases where one is permitted to be a guarantor for a loan on interest. \u00a0THe cases in the mishna are explained where there are 3 people &#8211; 2 Jews and a non Jew and one takes the loan off the other and pays the interest for him .
