{"id":3450,"date":"2016-05-29T08:33:00","date_gmt":"2016-05-29T06:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dafyomi4women.org\/daf\/?p=3450"},"modified":"2016-05-29T08:33:00","modified_gmt":"2016-05-29T06:33:00","slug":"kiddushin-79","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dafyomi4women.org\/daf\/2016\/05\/kiddushin-79\/","title":{"rendered":"Kiddushin 79"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dafyomi4women.org\/daf\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Study-Guide-Kiddushin-79.pdf\">Study Guide Kiddushin 79<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is a debate between Rav and Shmuel regarding a case where a father bethrothed a daughter at the same time that the daughter betrothed herself and then it became clear after that the daughter had reached the stage of maturity, which is a stage where the father can no longer betroth her. \u00a0Rav says we assume she was already mature when the betrothal of the father took place and therefore she is only betrothed from her own betrothal. \u00a0Shmuel holds that she is betrothed to both because we don&#8217;t know what her status was at the time of the betrothal. \u00a0Two other cases are brought to question Shmuel&#8217;s psak &#8211;
